Drone Ops Consultants — Website & Enquiry Terms of Use
Version: 1.0 Effective date: 21 September 2026 Applies to: everyone who uses the Drone Ops Consultants website, and in particular commercial drone operators ("Operators", "you") who send an enquiry to a listed consultant.
1. Who we are
1.1 Drone Ops Consultants ("DOC", "we", "us") is a trading name of Grey Rock Innovations Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 11621288), registered office Orchard House, Clyst St Mary, Exeter, Devon, EX5 1BR. VAT GB352634014. Dronedesk is also a trading name of the same company.
1.2 DOC is a paid directory of independent drone operations consultants ("Consultants"). We help you find and contact Consultants. We're an introducer. We're not a party to any work you go on to agree with a Consultant.
1.3 EU legal representative (Digital Services Act). For the purposes of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act), we've appointed Data Protection Representative Limited (trading as DataRep) as our legal representative in the European Union. DataRep can be contacted in any official EU language by email at dronedesk@datarep.com, or by post at DataRep, The Cube, Monahan Road, Cork, T12 H1XY, Republic of Ireland.
2. IMPORTANT — what our checks mean, and what they don't
Please read this before you rely on any listing.
2.1 We describe listed Consultants as "vetted". Here's exactly what that means, in the same words used on the badge and throughout the site:
"Vetted" means we check every consultant before we list them: their identity, evidence that they hold professional indemnity insurance, and a review by our team. Our checks are done at the time of listing and are based on the information provided. Being vetted isn't an assurance from us about any consultant's work, current insurance cover, qualifications or suitability. Please do your own checks before you engage a consultant.
2.1.1 We verify that information was provided. We don't certify that it's true. When we describe a Consultant as vetted, verified or insured, we mean we confirmed that the checks and documents we asked for (for example identity and evidence of professional indemnity insurance) were supplied and reviewed at the time. It isn't a statement by us that a Consultant's credentials, insurance or work are as they appear.
2.2 Our checks are a snapshot, not a running promise. Verification is point-in-time and based on the information given to us. Things change after a Consultant is listed. Insurance can lapse and circumstances can change, and we don't continuously monitor any Consultant.
2.3 We give no assurance about any Consultant. We give no warranty, and take no responsibility, as to any Consultant's work, insurance cover, qualifications, availability or suitability for what you need.
2.4 You must do your own checks before you engage anyone. Before you engage a Consultant, it's your responsibility to satisfy yourself about them: ask for and check current evidence of insurance, qualifications and permissions, take up references, and agree your own written terms with them. Any engagement is strictly between you and the Consultant.
3. Using the site
3.1 You may use the site to browse and search listings and to send enquiries to Consultants. You must use it lawfully and not:
- (a) scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract listings or contact details;
- (b) use any Consultant's details for marketing, resale, or anything other than a genuine enquiry;
- (c) interfere with the site's operation or security, or try to gain unauthorised access; or
- (d) submit anything false, unlawful, or infringing.
3.2 You don't need an account to send an enquiry. Listings are shown based on each Consultant's current subscription status, so a Consultant you saw before may not always appear.
4. Sending an enquiry, and what happens to your data
4.1 When you submit an enquiry, we pass your enquiry and the contact details you provide to the Consultant you chose, so they can respond.
4.2 You're contacting that one Consultant, about that one enquiry. Sending an enquiry isn't consent for that Consultant to add you to a marketing list or contact you about anything else. Consultants agree to use your enquiry only to respond to it, not to market to you without a lawful basis, and not to sell or pass on your details.
4.3 For that enquiry, you and the Consultant are each responsible, separately, for the data each of you holds. We explain how we handle your data in our privacy policy at https://droneopsconsultants.com/privacy. Each Consultant should make their own privacy policy available to you.
4.4 We keep enquiry data for 12 months from the date of the enquiry.
5. Our content and intellectual property
5.1 We own (or licence) the site, its design, software, brand and directory content, except content supplied by Consultants. You may view and use the site for its intended purpose, but you get no other rights in it.
5.2 Consultant content belongs to the relevant Consultant.
6. Disclaimers and our liability to you
6.1 Nothing excluded that can't be. Nothing here limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can't be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales.
6.2 The reliance position. Subject to 6.1, and consistent with clause 2, we accept no responsibility for any Consultant's acts, omissions, services, insurance, qualifications or solvency, or for any engagement, dispute or loss between you and a Consultant.
6.3 Site provided "as is". We provide the site on a reasonable-efforts basis and don't warrant it'll be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or error-free.
6.4 Cap. Subject to 6.1, our total liability to you arising from your use of the site and any enquiry, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), misrepresentation or otherwise, is limited to £100.
6.5 Subject to 6.1, we're not liable for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, business or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
7. Third-party links
7.1 The site may link to third-party sites (including Consultants' own sites). We don't control them and aren't responsible for them.
8. Reporting illegal or infringing content
8.1 If you think content on the site (for example a listing) is illegal or breaches these Terms, you can report it using the "Report content" form on the site, or by emailing hello@droneopsconsultants.com.
8.2 To help us act, please include: (a) why you think the content is illegal or in breach; (b) where it is (the URL or a clear description); and (c) your name and email, so we can acknowledge the report and tell you the outcome (except where the report concerns certain offences involving minors).
8.3 We review reports by human review, in a timely and objective way. We may remove or disable content, and where needed suspend the account behind it. Where we act against someone's content, we give them a statement of reasons unless we're legally prevented from doing so. If you gave us your contact details, we'll confirm we received your report and let you know what we decided.
9. Changes
9.1 We can change these Terms. The version that applies to your enquiry is the one in force when you submit it, which we record. We keep every historical version.
10. Governing law and contact
10.1 These Terms and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
10.2 Contact / complaints. For questions or complaints about the site or these Terms, email us at hello@droneopsconsultants.com. Data-protection matters (including complaints) have their own route in the privacy policy at /privacy/complaint.
